Windows 7 Week Day 3: Which Version Is For You?

When Windows 7 was first announced back in 2008, everyone was speculating how many versions their would be this time.  Due to the fact that Vista came out with six versions which annoyed pretty much everyone because each version had more features then the other and the fact they got more expensive as you got closer to Vista Ultimate.  Then back in February, one website announced that their would be six versions to Windows 7, which again pretty much put everyone in an uproar once again.

Microsoft Sticks It to the European Union

Who would have that after many years of lawsuits that Microsoft finally can screw over the European Union and get away with it.  It would seem that because EU cried for the removal of Internet Explorer from Windows 7.  So Microsoft complied and decided that since they had to remove IE8 from the operating system that they would double the price tag for Windows 7 over there.

British Hacker Using his Sickness To Stay Out Of Jail

Three years ago, a British hacker got busted for hacking in to government computer systems, which include NASA, DOD and I believe the Pentagon as well.  His excuse, ” I was looking for UFO’s.”  Well three years later this guy is still fighting to keep himself from spending the rest of his life in a US prison, because if convicted he would be spending a good 70 years in prison for this hack job.  Since then he has been going through every legal loophole from spending the rest of his …

ATM Machine’s: New Malware Threat?

Back in the old days of ATM steal, it was a matter of shoulder surfing without getting caught and in most cases people got really good, while others made it to obvious.  As time went, technology became sophisticated and soon all you needed was a card reader, small cam, wireless connection and you waiting in the parking lot to steal those numbers.  So where am I going with this, well it seems a small group of people got smart and are going after the operating systems that are used …

Angry Apple User/Hacker Posts Exploitation Code

Well it would seem that Apple has made someone a bit upset recently because of the lack of security updates in the Mac OS X, Landon Fuller, a security researcher in San Francisco, was so distraught, he decided to post the exploitation code for this attack.  The attack is specific to the Java software that comes installed on the operating system and while Java has patched it, Apple has not.  Thus the reason why this angry man posted it up to make them aware that it still exits, but my …
