Windows 7 Week Day 3: Which Version Is For You?

When Windows 7 was first announced back in 2008, everyone was speculating how many versions their would be this time.  Due to the fact that Vista came out with six versions which annoyed pretty much everyone because each version had more features then the other and the fact they got more expensive as you got closer to Vista Ultimate.  Then back in February, one website announced that their would be six versions to Windows 7, which again pretty much put everyone in an uproar once again.

Microsoft Sticks It to the European Union

Who would have that after many years of lawsuits that Microsoft finally can screw over the European Union and get away with it.  It would seem that because EU cried for the removal of Internet Explorer from Windows 7.  So Microsoft complied and decided that since they had to remove IE8 from the operating system that they would double the price tag for Windows 7 over there.

Windows 7 Week Day 2: Get Those Features On XP/Vista

Ever since Windows 7 beta came out, there were features and little programs that everyone wanted to use on XP or Vista or rather some people created the software equivalents for people to download and use.  To keep things simple, I point you to the various websites that describe the software packages and how to set them up and save a bit of time from reading to much about them.

Lets kick off Tuesday with a Windows 7 week, though this time I think it is possible to get a full week out out of this and so to make up for yesterday’s lack of post it will be double the fine today.  First up, the pre-order price tag that has become big news in recent days and why is it big news?  Well Microsoft has made the upgrades 50% off, OH MY GOD!!, (500 orders later)…Noooo I got bamboozled by Microsoft’s cheap tricks again, thats right Microsoft has set …

8 Reason for Getting a PC Vs 8 Reasons to Get a Mac

I came Across two articles from PCWorld.com that gave 8 reasons to Own A PC and 8 Reasons To Own A Mac and I thought today I would break down those 16 reasons and obviously give a bias opinion since I don’t own a Mac computer.  However, I will be fair though since Mac computers still have their place in society and the computer world.  So it should be interesting what I to ponder about as I go through this list and then come to a final conclusion and even …

Ballmer: Stay on Windows XP and You Will Face a Backlash

With Windows 7 quickly on the move with the RC1 release, it would seem that the Golden Boy of Microsoft, Ballmer says “Suffer the Backlash if you still use XP when Windows 7 comes out” ( big scary voice) .  Ballmer get off your horse because your on the way of making Microsoft the laughing stock if Windows 7 tanks and if it does, expect for the stocks to fall fall fall.  We  are aware of your corporate take overs of companies and stuff like that and so it is …

Mac Computer Users: IBotnet On The Loose

Finally I get to talk about Mac and its security weakness, and yes the security of Mac computers are weak because of the fact Microsoft has always been targeted.  Thus, you do not see much security software for Apple computers in the store or hear about major security problems.

Is Internet Explorer 8 The Last Microsoft Browser?

In a interesting twist into the browser wars it would seem that there are rumors going around about the longevity of Microsoft’s most infamous browser. That rumor it seems is that Internet Explorer 8 is the last browser in the IE family and that Microsoft is working on a new browser engine as we speak, codename “Gazelle” which will supposedly be more secured then Firefox and Chrome. Granted that Microsoft has made huge improvements on Internet Explorer 8 in terms of standards, but it would seem a taf …
